It is no secret that motivating ourselves, let alone a group of students, is a difficult task. Some of the keys to motivation may lie simply in creating interest for our students, either through some form of reward (external motivation), with the hope that someday students may someday push themselves to achieve and contribute simply because it is self-fulfilling and self-actualizing (Internal motivation). 

But HOW???

It's not always as straight-forward as we think...

But, as a takeaway, as educators, we can strive to increase student motivation by making our lessons interesting and connecting them to the lives of our students. Be relevant!

Yes, this is easier said than done. But, here are some interesting samples of ways you can bring academics into a students everyday life.
